Audit Supervisor
Job Function & Responsibilites:
- Managing a portfolio of clients.
- Liaising with partners.
- Anticipating, identifying and addressing Clients’ concerns and issues promptly.
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with Clients.
Managing and mentoring audit teams, promoting a team-oriented environment.
- Leading audits in line with adopted audit methodology, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Reviewing working papers prepared by audit staff, ensuring standards are adhered to.
Maintaining direct daily contact with clients, managing audit processes, and communicating findings and recommendations.
Filing tax returns as required by the Income Tax Act (ITA).
Apply an in-depth understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts to effectively manage and execute engagements.
- Preparing for and participating in Firm sponsored and other training.
Performing fieldwork on assigned Clients, as appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (or Equivalent)
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA or ACCA) or near completion.
- Qualified with at least 6 years’ experience in practice.
- Strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Experience with DataSnipper and other technologies would be valuable asset.
- Well versed with IFRS and ISA.
- An effective manager of time across more than one engagement at a time.
- The ability to identify the training needs of junior team members and provide constructive feedback and appraisals.
- The ability to prepare statutory accounts including consolidations.
- Represents the Firm in a professional manner at all times through punctuality, appearance and presentation.
- Will be required to travel and visit Clients’ offices.
- Will be required to work outside normal working hours at short notice.
