Audit Assistant
Job Function
- To assist in the performance of audits of specific assigned areas for Clients of the Firm, and report to the Supervisor on any issues identified during the course of the audit.
- Ensuring work is done in accordance with adopted audit methodology.
- Can be tasked to perform the role of Staff Accountant on low complexity engagements.
Specifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business related subject.
- Pursuing a professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA).
- No prior experience is required for this role.
- Good communication skills – both written and oral.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet Clients’ expectations and deadlines.
- Proactive in improving skills through training.
- Engaged in learning current and emerging auditing standards.
- Project management and time management skills.
- Moderate understanding of auditing, accounting and industry technical knowledge including analysis of financial data.
- Represents the Firm in a professional manner at all times through punctuality, appearance and presentation.
- Will be required to travel and visit Clients’ offices.
- Will be required to work outside normal working hours at short notice.
