Audit Assistant

Job Function

  • To assist in the performance of audits of specific assigned areas for Clients of the Firm, and report to the Supervisor on any issues identified during the course of the audit.
  • Ensuring work is done in accordance with adopted audit methodology.
  • Can be tasked to perform the role of Staff Accountant on low complexity engagements.

Specifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business related subject.
  • Pursuing a professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA).
  • No prior experience is required for this role.
  • Good communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet Clients’ expectations and deadlines.
  • Proactive in improving skills through training.
  • Engaged in learning current and emerging auditing standards.
  • Project management and time management skills.
  • Moderate understanding of auditing, accounting and industry technical knowledge including analysis of financial data.
  • Represents the Firm in a professional manner at all times through punctuality, appearance and presentation.
  • Will be required to travel and visit Clients’ offices.
  • Will be required to work outside normal working hours at short notice.
